CEGH Auctions
OMV Gas Storage conducts auctions on the CEGH storage marketing platform several times a year. There, registered users have the opportunity to purchase bundled annual products consisting of injection capacity, withdrawal capacity and working gas volume.
OMV Gas Storage GmbH offers its customers the opportunity to purchase storage capacities. In the course of an auction on 12 December 2025 the following capacities will be offered:
On Friday 12 October 2025 12:00 to 13:00 - 30 Bundles including firm working gas volume and firm withdrawal capacity (service period from 13 December 2025, 06:00 to 1 April 2026, 06:00) and interruptible injection capacity (service period from 13 December 2025, 06:00 to 1 January 2026, 06:00) consisting of the following services:
Injection Rate (interruptible 13.12.25 – 01.01.26): 22.00 MWh/h
Withdrawal Rate (firm 13.12.25 – 01.04.26): 4.65 MWh/h
Working Gas Volume (firm 13.12.25 – 01.04.26): 10,000 MWh
Here are the most important details:
- Submission of bid via CEGH Gas Storage Marketing Platform www.gashub.at or e-mail!
- Energy costs included!
- Exceeding of contractual limits at any time!
- Booking of additional firm/interruptible Unbundled Services (Injection Rate, Withdrawal Rate, Working Gas Volume) possible at any time!
- Please note that the more favorable transportation costs 2025 will be charged!

Day Ahead Auction
The Day Ahead Auction offers to our customers the opportunity to purchase additional injection or withdrawal capacities for the next gas day or the upcoming weekend.
Procedure of our Day Ahead Auction:
- The customer concludes a framework agreement with OMV Gas Storage
- OMV Gas Storage sends each day an e-mail to the participating customers with the offered capacities to be auctioned for the following day or weekend
- The customer sends his bid by email to OMV Gas Storage
- OMV Gas Storage allocates capacity to the highest bidder
